SUBJECT: Approve the Purchase of Outlot B in Whispering Oaks Plat(E)
Action Sought
Approve a motion authorizing the Purchase of Outlot B, Whispering Oaks.
Background
Outlot B in Whispering Oaks plat was owned by Tollefson Development and is a wetland/pond
for storm water. This property has gone tax forfeiture and the City can purchase this for$400.65.
The property does have a drainage and utility easement over the entire site and is next to a park
and open space. Staff is recommending purchase of this property to control the entire site for
storm water and open space uses by the City.
Recommendation
Staff recommends purchasing this property.
Budget Impact
Affects Storm Drainage Funds with very little impact.
Relationship to Vision
This supports Goal E: Deliver effective and efficient public services by a staff of well-trained,
caring, and professional employees.
