(E) Action Sought Move to authorize the purchase of one new John Deere 5085 Tractor and Snowblower from Ag Power Enterprise, Inc. for the price of$57,952.34, one new Tiger Mower from Titan Machinery for the price of$9,493.71 and one new V-Plow from Schilz Ornamental Iron, Inc. for the price of $5,557.50. The funding for the tractor and mower mower to be expended from the Surface Water Fund and the Snowblower and V-Plow to be expended from the Capital Equipment Internal Service Fund. Background Public Works included in the Capital Equipment Budget a need to replace Unit #172, a 2003 John Deere 4710 Tractor. $95,000.00 was budgeted for this purpose. This tractor will be replaced with a 2013 John Deere 5085 Tractor with mower, snowblower and v-plow attachments to be utilized in the Surface Water Division for pond and ditch mowing and Park Maintenance for trail snow removal. The total cost of this purchase with trade is $73,003.55. Staff will be utilizing State of Minnesota contract pricing for this purchase. Recommendation Staff recommends this purchase. Budget Impact Funding will be expended from both the Surface Water Fund and Capital Equipment Internal Service Fund. Relationship to Vision E. Deliver effective and efficient public services by a staff of welltrained caring and professional employees.
