INTRODUCTION
The Shakopee Police Department is seeking council approval to declare five vehicles as
surplus property.
BACKGROUND
A description of the vehicle: \
1. 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, VIN: 2Gl WW12M4S9198064
2. 1999 Ford Contour, VIN: 1FAFP66LXXK135873
3. 1991 Toyota Camry VIN: 4TISV21E3MU441373
4. 1995 Ford Escort VIN: IFASP1285SW1279075
5. 1998 Dodge Stratus VIN: IB3EJ56H6WN327027
These five vehicles were obtained through a successful forfeiture proceeding and are not
suitable for City use. The vehicles will be sold at auction.
AL TERNATIVES
1. Authorize staff to declare the five vehicles as surplus property.
2. Do not authorize.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends alternative one.
ACTION REQUESTED
If Council concurs, they should by motion declare the 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo,
VIN: 2Gl WW12M4S9198064, the 1999 Ford Contour, VIN:
1FAFP66LXXK135873, the Toyota Camry, VIN: 4TISV21E3MU441373, the 1995
Ford Escort, VIN: IFASPl285SW1279075 and the 1998 Dodge Stratus, VIN:
1B3EJ56H6WN327027 as surplus property.
