Action Sought
The Council is asked to recognize Jean Link's successful completion of the six -month
probationary period required of newly promoted Civil Service employees and grant her full -time,
regular status in the position of Police Records Specialist.
Background
Jean Link was promoted to the position of Police Records Specialist on January 14. This is a
Civil Service position and Civil Service rules call for a six -month probationary period for newly
promoted employees. Jean has successfully completed these six - months and her supervisor is
pleased with her job performance and ability to take on the added responsibilities of her new
position.
Relationship to Vision
Hiring and retaining well - qualified employees contributes to Goal E: Deliver effective and
efficient public service by a staff of well- trained, caring and professional employees.
Requested Action
The Council is asked to recognize Jean Link's successful completion of the six -month
probationary period required of newly promoted Civil Service employees and grant her full -time,
regular status in the position of Police Records Specialist.
