CONSENT
CITY OF SHAKOPEE
Memorandum is: E. ~ .
CASE LOG NO.: NA
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
Mark McNeill, City Administrator
FROM: R. Michael Leek, Community Development Director
SUBJECT: Resignation of Bonnie Mauritz from the Position of Building Secretary
MEETING DATE: June 21,2005
INTRODUCTION:
Bonnie Mauritz has submitted her resignation from the position of Building Secretary effective July
24, 2005. Bonnie played a key role in helping the City to make the transition from traditional paper
recordkeeping and scheduling to computerized recordkeeping and scheduling, which has enhanced the
productivity of the Inspections staff tremendously. She has also assisted the City's IT staff, which has
been very helpful. I know the Council joins me in wishing Bonnie and her husband, John, all the best
in the future.
Council is asked to accept Ms. Mauritz's resignation with regret, and authorize the appropriate City
officials to take steps necessary to fill the position of Building Secretary.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Offer and pass a motion to accept Ms. Mauritz's resignation with regret, and authorize the appropriate
City officials to take steps necessary to fill the position of Building Secretary.

Re: Termination of Employment
This is to notify City of Shakopee that I will be terminating my position as Building
Secretary as of July 24th. The reason is because of the daily commute from Litchfield.
Sincerely
