JI CITY OF SHAKO PEE Memorandum CONSENT TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: Mark McNeill, City Administrator SUBJECT: Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Director Probationary End DATE: June 28, 2005 INTRODUCTION: The Council is asked to acknowledge the successful probationary completion of Mark Themig in his position of Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Director. BACKGROUND: On June 1,2004, Mr. Themig was promoted from his previous position of Parks and Recreation Coordinator, to the newly created position of Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Director. As with any promotion, there is a one year probationary period. During that time, he has performed very well, and he should be afforded full time permanent status as a result. RECOMMENDATION: I recommend that Mark Themig be granted full time regular status as a result ofthe successful completion of his initial probationary period. ACTION REQUIRED: If the Council concurs, it should, by motion, grant Mark Themig full time regular status in his position as Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Director, effective June 1,2005. ~ \~0-dJ)1 Mark McNeill City Administrator MM:th CC: Marilyn Remer Mark Themig
