SUBJECT: Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Director Probationary End
DATE: June 28, 2005
INTRODUCTION:
The Council is asked to acknowledge the successful probationary completion of Mark
Themig in his position of Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Director.
BACKGROUND:
On June 1,2004, Mr. Themig was promoted from his previous position of Parks and
Recreation Coordinator, to the newly created position of Parks, Recreation, and Facilities
Director. As with any promotion, there is a one year probationary period. During that
time, he has performed very well, and he should be afforded full time permanent status as
a result.
RECOMMENDATION:
I recommend that Mark Themig be granted full time regular status as a result ofthe
successful completion of his initial probationary period.
ACTION REQUIRED:
If the Council concurs, it should, by motion, grant Mark Themig full time regular status
in his position as Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Director, effective June 1,2005.
