Introduction: The Shakopee Police Department is seeking council approval to declare four vehicles as surplus property. Background: A description of the vehicles: 1. 2000 Ford Ranger, VIN: 1FTZR15V8YPA08325 2.2000 Ford Explorer, VIN: 1FMZU73X5YZB70547 3.2002 Toyota Celica, VIN: JTDDR32T120137516 4. 2006 Chrysler Sebring, VIN: 1C3EL45X56N166167 The vehicles were obtained through successful forfeiture proceedings. The vehicles will be sold at auction or junked. Visioning Relationship: This action supports: Goal F: Housekeeping Item Alternatives: 1. Authorize staff to declare the vehicles as surplus property. 2. Do not authorize. Recommendation: Staff Recommends alternative one. Action Requested: If Council concurs, they should by motion declare the 2000 Ford Ranger, VIN: 1FTZR15V8YPA08325; the 2000 Ford Explorer, VIN: 1FMZU73X5YZB70547; the 2002 Toyota Celica, VIN: JTDDR32T120137516; and the 2006 Chrysler Sebring, VIN: 1C3EL45X56N166167 as surplus property.
