SUBJECT: Successful Completion of Probationary Period -- Richard Thomson (E)
Action Sought
The Council is asked to recognize Richard Thomson's successful completion of the one -year probationary period
for new hires and grant him full -time, regular status as an Engineering Tech IV.
Background
Richard Thomson began work as a Engineering Tech IV on May 29, 2012. He has now successfully completed the
one -year probationary period required of new employees. His supervisors in the Engineering Department are very
satisfied with his performance over the past year and his contributions to the Department and therefore recommend
that Council recognize his successful completion of the probationary period and grant him full -time, regular status.

This items relates to Goal E: Deliver effective and efficient public services by a staff of well- trained, caring and
professional employees.
Requested Action
The Council is asked to recognize Richard Thomson's successful completion of the probationary period for new
hires and grant him full -time, regular status as an Engineering Tech IV.
