TO: Mayor and City Council Mark McNeill, City Administrator FROM: Jeanette Shaner, Deputy City Clerk DATE: 04/16/2013 SUBJECT: Approval of Temporary Liquor License - Scott County Historical Society (F) Action Sought Approve the application and grant a temporary on - sale liquor license to the Scott County Historical Society. Introduction and Background The Scott County Historical Society has made application for a temporary on -sale intoxicating liquor license for May 23, 2013, at 235 Fuller Street South. They are hosting an exhibit opening event for their newest exhibit "Outside the Law: Prohibition in Scott County ". State law permits the issuance of a temporary on -sale liquor license to a charitable, religious, or nonprofit organization. The application is in order. I have been in contact with the Police Chief regarding the application and he has no issues with the approval of the license. Relationship to Vision This supports Goal F "Housekeeping" Requested Action Move to approve the application and grant a temporary on -sale liquor license to the Scott County Historicial Society for May 23, 2013 at 235 Fuller Street South.
